NICK GOLD

For the launch of Canal+’s iPhone app, and in order to generate as many subscriptions as possible, we created a character called Nick Gold. 

Nick Gold is a legend, a reference in terms of new technologies, and hence the best-placed person to promote the application adequately.

In order to give life to the character before the film was released, we published his biography on his Wikipedia page. We also created Facebook and Twitter accounts on which Nick Gold would share mysterious nuggets of wisdom announcing the impending release of a film retracing his life story.   Nick also had a blog where he would post articles relating to his passion for innovation and new technologies. One month after its release, the film had reached 1 million views. And the objective set by Canal+ in terms of subscriptions was five-times exceeded, reaching 250,000 subscribers.
